Broad Points 1/12/82 ('26)
I'm leaving the other page up, but I felt this was necessary to discuss before things really get out of hand, and if it nets me a spot thanks to the NSPM-7, so be it. I did not think I would have to be living in such interesting times, but here I am, and here you are, maybe, reading this page. We are reaching a serious problem stage, in which, at the time of this writing, several things are happening that need to be laid out.
Presently, there is upheaval in Iran. Thousands are being killed for opposing the regime, at a time in which water is scarce, energy is being siphoned off to mine bitcoins for the government, and economic mismanagement is rampant. The mid-market rate for the Iranian rial is nearly a million to a dollar. It is the most fragile period since the 1979 revolution that instituted the 'guardian of the jurist' rule.
The US 'administration' is presently engaged in multiple domestic avenues of subterfuge, viz.: Threatening allies over attempting to annex Greenland for minerals, ICE thugs harassing, injuring and killing multiple people (in violation of their own rules and the Constitution), an intentional lack of pushback from Congress regarding its duties, and the 'administration' constantly stonewalling, delaying, or excusing such delays in re the Epstein files release.
The US 'administration' is engaged—or is about to engage—in compiling lists of people who are deemed a threat to the aims of the 'president' and his various lackeys who inhabit virtually all federal offices. Being a subversive may include: being sympathetic to undocumented people, expressing doubts, disagreements, or disputations about their style of 'capitalism', not being a good consumer, not birthing economic units—essentially, turning everyday Americans and their legally-expressed and constitutionally-protected speech, freedom of association, freedom of religion, freedom of expression and freedom of conscience — into crimes. Petitions for redress of grievances mean nothing to the 'administration' that has weaponized the government against largely all legitimate criticism.
The US 'administration' consistently puts out on Twitter regurgitated fascist slogans and actively repeats known disinformation and other perfidies scarcely paralleled in history. It is demonstrably true that the 'president', the 'vice president' and many of the cabinet members are pursuing authoritarian control of the country in order to 'project power' and snuff out any centrist or leftist agitation domestically.
The US 'administration' is exporting its governance model to sympathetic and silent members, namely, the United Kingdom, in its quest to continue a special relationship, though it remains to be seen how that will develop.
The US 'administration' is no longer interested in being allies with NATO or any countries that do not kowtow to the 'president'. The 'president' consistently has sought out Russian allyship in its dealing with the war in Ukraine, blathering about negotiating peace and, yet, congratulating Russia on New Year's, and withdrawing weaponry from Ukraine after brief 'talks'. The threats of annexing Canada, Greenland, and other territories, are an overture to that idea, that has been constantly pushed since the beginning of the 'administration'. A lot of these are capable distractions away from the Epstein files, in that, so long as it is being pushed, it could immediately take away media coverage from the dark truth of those files, if such actions were to be taken. The kidnapping of Maduro is one such action that has already been taken, that has resulted in a loss, both of prestige and of patience.
The 'president' is mightily aware that he is in decline and is doing everything possible to secure a legacy, such as attaching his name to buildings without legal permission, attempting to establish monuments, and other such tawdry affairs. His action recently of attempting to get a Nobel Peace Prize winner to share her medal with him resulted in a rare communique from the Nobel committee stating precisely that no sharing or transfer of the award is permitted.
The 'administration' has begun to enact collective punishment in an attempt to 'soften' up states, namely, the largely-Democratic states who did not vote for him in the last few elections. Actors in league with the MAGA-aligned GOP have put out flashy 'exposés' on daycare centers attempting to find or to stir up allegations of fraud, especially in Minnesota. These 'exposés', in conjunction with the media amplification process, have resulted in the governor withdrawing from a run for a third term as governor, and the USDA freezing all childcare funding to ten states, in blatant violation of established laws and the Eighth Amendment. The 'department head' of 'ICE' has also seen fit to re-institute a law stating that members of Congress must file a week in advance to visit an ICE facility, which was already ruled impermissible not very long ago.
The 'Immigration and Customs Enforcement' group of misfits are being sent en masse to several cities in lieu of the National Guard. The people who work for this group are largely misfits who were pardoned by the 'president' for partaking in the attempted January 6 coup, and various racist and nationalist group members. 'ICE' does not have constitutional authority to go house-to-house to arrest suspected 'illegal immigrants' (or, as they term them, 'illegals'), and often scare people with unsigned administrative papers. Protesters and constitutional observers alike have been tear-gassed, shot at, threatened, violated, and killed, with the tacit approval of the federal government, who consistently victim-blame to sympathetic media outlets and call them possible 'domestic terrorists' or 'leftist agitators' who supposedly 'hate police'. 'ICE' are not police authorities and have narrow, defined parameters, and cannot be 'absolutely immune' from prosecution, no matter how many times the 'administration' claims.
All of these attempts and actions at present speak to the larger goal of some of the major backers of the 'president' and his 'administration', who do not believe in democracy, any rule of law, human rights, or even universal literacy. They are disinterested in governance from a state, and would prefer governance from a corporation - essentially technocratic feudalism. There are other people who profess Christian nationalist aims, and are attempting to revise the history and the goals of the United States into one centered around a perverse Christian dogma that has been perpetuated for the last fifty years, in order to bring about the end times (immanentizing the eschaton). The 'administration' is a pack of useless and inept celebrities, inveterate racists, toady glory-hounds and astoundingly lame grifters, all bent on selling the country off, and to receive soft money in exchange for their services.
It is astoundingly evident to other nations whose traditions of democracy continue in some fashion, that the United States of America is unable and unwilling to lead any organization or country at the present time. It is my personal opinion that our country cannot continue onward — without bringing the criminality and callousness of the manifold individuals in government and positions of power at present to account. First and foremost, an adjudicated, demonstrable felon sits in the White House, aided and abetted by billionaire-backed robber barons and conservative think-tanks who have chosen his staff. Secondly, the chief justice of the supreme court, who has catered to the whims of the 'president' even before he took office a second time, deserves considerable blame. Thirdly, the former house majority whip, who stood idly by in his dotage and let the first administration of this 'president' continually slide while he constantly blanked out in front of cameras. Fourth, the present owner of Twitter, who has assisted in vote manipulation by word, by deed, and by bribing voters to choose his hand-picked candidates, and, with his purchase of Twitter, turning it into an unabashed lie machine through which MAGA and white-nationalist talking points are laundered and paid for. Also, in aiding the 'president' in collecting untold amounts of data about every single American under the guise of "government efficiency", which has deprived millions of people of necessary projects, project funds, and in preventing diseases and hunger from proliferating.
It is presently unwise to accept that Congress or state officials will be able, or willing, to do much against the 'administration', for reasons ranging from party incompetence (the older and often more elite Democrats), grand-standing and photo-ops (Gavin Newsom), lobbyist and donor pressures, administration donor interference, lack of political will, or anything resembling a spine. Few of the Democrats that are now present there have done anything of note except consistently, and blindly accept the premise of 'bipartisanship', and have glad-handed most of the 'president's' choices into their offices. Non-US individuals will no doubt be aghast at how far things have regressed, and questions in the proximity of the liberal's cry of "vote harder!" or "You just gotta wait until the midterms!" will come up against the wall of 'the people do not get to decide the districting of states, or the apportionment of votes' and the Constitution's insistence on using an electoral college to "balance" the people's popular vote against those of the states. Neither will multiple states take up ranked-choice voting, as that would expose the "two"-party system that has taken up residence. No insistence on voting will change anything, especially when voting machine manufacturers are bought up by the party in power. The 'administration' has taken up the line of "It is not the voter, but who counts the votes, that matters". Please do not blithely consider voting as an option to change what is now an authoritarian government - voting is rendered meaningless when voter rolls can be purged, when votes are made meaningless, or if the voter was once incarcerated. That is our system, it is broken in the way that benefits the well-to-do, not the working class.
I will not deign to exercise prior restraint with this website.
We are but one year removed from the beginning of this 'administration' and most of the warning signs we have blown past, as the completion of P2025 and Project Esther are about to be put into motion. Suffice it to say that this government is not interested in people knowing their rights, and would prefer if people 'obey or die', which tells you all you need to know about the humanitarian angle.
This government 'seeks peace' but talks out both sides of its mouth as more wars are pushed. This so-called leader of ours is nothing less than a narcissistic misfit in terminal decline, thrashing around. I can say I did not ever vote for him, but I know there are millions of people who did, who cheer him on, and who feel empowered by mimicking his unbridled hatred, his ignorance of the present, and overwhelming desire to lie. People who are definitely quick to applaud 'ICE' goons for unabashed brutalization of the 'others' — but the outcome is clear, once all the 'others' are gone, those cheerleaders are next to feel state power breathing down their necks, and by then, it will be too late. The terror of the state is right now haphazard and out-of-shape, but still dangerous.
